Standards and governance
Blog editorial policy
How The Quiz Review keeps the blog product-neutral, evidence-led, correctable and separate from product marketing.
01 · Product neutrality
Conflicts are excluded, not managed inside the verdict
The blog does not mention, review, rank, link to, promote or optimize recommendations for any product on the internal conflict-exclusion register. It contains no affiliate links, sponsored rankings, vendor lead handoffs or paid product calls to action.
Comparison statement: We test products using published scenarios and criteria. Vendors cannot buy inclusion, placement or a higher score. Products with an editorial conflict are excluded from coverage.
02 · Evidence gate
Every article must add something reusable
A page must include at least one first-hand test, source-grounding review, current official-source check, scoring model, decision tree, QA checklist, dataset, reproducible workflow or source-led resolution of conflicting claims. Pages that only rephrase existing search results are not commissioned.
Hands-on claims require dated notes or artifacts. Automated checks do not replace subject-matter review where factual or assessment quality matters.
03 · Source hierarchy
Primary sources sit beside changing claims
Official product documentation is used for current features, limits, privacy and licensing. Standards bodies, peer-reviewed research and university teaching resources support assessment-design guidance. Vendor studies are labelled with the source and denominator, and are not treated as universal benchmarks.
04 · AI assistance
AI may assist drafting, but it does not own verification
AI can support outlining, query clustering, transcription, extraction and draft editing. An editor remains responsible for the final structure, source match, claims, links and limitations. AI-generated test questions require the same item-level review as questions generated by a product under evaluation.
05 · Corrections
Correct the page and preserve the record
Material errors are corrected on the affected page with a new verification date and an entry in the public changelog. A correction identifies what changed and why. Silent edits are limited to spelling, grammar and formatting changes that do not alter meaning.
06 · Vendor and expert responses
Facts can be corrected, verdicts cannot be negotiated
Covered vendors and relevant experts may submit public evidence to correct a factual claim. They cannot select competitors, alter test weights after results are known or negotiate a verdict. Material responses and resulting corrections are logged.
